Perform Transactions with Restricted Inventory

Depending on how a restriction code is set up, restricted inventory will be prevented from being used in transactions.

Below are some examples of the messages you will receive if you attempt to use restricted inventory.

Sales Order

When attempting to post a sales shipment that uses inventory that is restricted from Outbound Sales restrictions, users will receive an error message indicated the transaction has been blocked.

Bin Movement

When attempting to move an item, with Bin Movement restrictions, to a new bin, you will receive an error when trying to post the Reclassification Journal entry.
