View Inventory Restriction Entries

The Inventory Restriction Entries page shows a chronological list of restriction events that occurred for tracked inventory.

If there is a document type, the source document number and the document line number will be shown. You can also set parameters in the filter pane to narrow down the entries.

Open the entries page

  1. Choose the icon, enter Inventory Restriction Entries, and then choose the related link.

  2. Hover over a field label to learn more.

  3. If applicable, populate the following field:

    Field Description
Comment Enter a comment about the activity on the journal line.
    Note

You can see inventory restriction entries grouped by date created on the Inventory Restriction Registers page.

Configure the restriction retention policy

By default, the system will maintain the entries in the Inventory Restriction Entries page indefinitely, which over time means the list could grow quite large. To manage this, you can configure a retention policy to periodically clean up entries.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Retention Policies, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Retention Policies page, select table 23093845 (Inventory Restriction Entry).

  3. On the Retention Policy page, populate the following fields:

    Field Description
Retention Period Specify the length of time for which to keep the data in the table.
Apply to all records (Optional) Turn off the toggle to apply the policy to specific data in the table.

The Record Retention Policy FastTab is displayed, and you can set the filters to create subsets of data for each line.

Enabled When the policy has been configured, turn on the toggle to have the system automatically maintain the policy.
