Set Up Apply Expiration Warning Restrictions Job Queue

You can set up a job queue that will automatically assign a restriction code to inventory that is nearly expired.

The following conditions must be met in order to apply restrictions:

  • The Add Restrictions (Manually) checkbox is selected for your user ID on the User Setup page.

  • The Expiration Warning and Expiration Warning Restriction Code fields are populated on the Inventory Restriction Setup page.

Schedule the job queue

  1. Choose the icon, enter Apply Expiration Warning Restrictions, then choose the related link.

  2. On the Apply Expiration Warning Restrictions page, select Schedule.

  3. On the Schedule a Report - Apply Expiration Warning Restrictions page, populate the following fields:

    Field Description
    Next Run Date Enter the date formula that is used to calculate the next time the recurring job queue entry will run.
    Earliest Start Date/Time

    Select the earliest date and time when the job queue entry should be run.

    The format for the date and time must be month/day/year hour:minute, and then AM or PM. For example, 3/10/2021 12:00 AM.
    Expiration Date/Time

    Select the date and time when the job queue entry will expire, after which the job queue entry will not be run.

  4. Select OK.

    The Apply Expiration Warning Restrictions (23093835) report is added to the Job Queue Entries page.
