Use Shelf Life when Receiving

Receive items with a shelf life requirement

When you create a purchase order for an item that has a shelf life requirement, the system will automatically populate the Shelf Life Code field on the purchase order line.

Post purchase order or warehouse receipt

To post the purchase order, you must configure item tracking such that the expiration date minus the post receipt calculation date (identified in Inventory Shelf Life Setup page) exceeds the corresponding number of days in the shelf life code.

The same procedure is followed by the system for locations where warehouse receipts are used.
