Set Up Inventory Shelf Life

  1. Choose the icon, enter Inventory Shelf Life Setup, and then choose the related link.

    Tip

    You can also access this page from the Manual Setup page.

  2. Populate the following fields:

    Field Description
    Pick Calculation Date Select the date that will be used when calculating which inventory should be ignored if it does not adhere to the shelf life requirements when creating a pick.
    Post Calculation Date Select the date that will be used when calculating if the selected inventory adheres to the shelf life requirements when posting a shipment.
    Post Receipt Calculation Date Select the date to be used when posting a receipt, along with the shelf life days, to determine the minimum expiration date of the inventory that will be allowed to receive.

Assisted Setup

Alternatively, you can complete the setup via a wizard:

  1. Choose the icon, enter Assisted Setup, and then choose the related link.

  2. In the Get started with apps from NIC Systems Inc group, select Set up inventory shelf life to open the Inventory Shelf Life Setup Wizard.

    If you are asked if you want to run the assisted setup again, select Yes.

  3. Select Next as needed and populate the following fields as you go through the wizard:

    Field Description
    Pick Calculation Date Select the date that will be used when calculating which inventory should be ignored if it does not adhere to the shelf life requirements when creating a pick.
    Post Calculation Date Select the date that will be used when calculating if the selected inventory adheres to the shelf life requirements when posting a shipment.
    Post Receipt Calculation Date Select the date to be used when posting a receipt, along with the shelf life days, to determine the minimum expiration date of the inventory that will be allowed to receive.
  4. Select Finish.

    Upon completing the wizard, the Inventory Shelf Life Setup page will be updated with the values you selected in the wizard.
