Create Kit Groups

You need to create kit groups for the manufactured items and the components being staged. For example, create an FG code for finished goods and a PACKAGING code for materials staged before production.

Each manufactured and component item is assigned a kit group and optional subgroup. When generating a material staging order, items with the same kit group or subgroup are automatically grouped based on the defined kit production group.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Kit Groups, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Kit Groups page, select New.

  3. Populate the following fields:

    Field Description
    Code Enter a code that identifies the kit group.
    Description Enter a description of the kit group.

  4. If applicable, add kit subgroups.

    1. Select Related > Subgroups.

    2. On the Kit Group page, populate the following fields:

      3. Field Description
      Code

      Enter the code that represents the kit subgroup.

      For example, BOXES and FILM.
      Description Enter a description of the kit subgroup.

    You can now assign production groups to the kit groups.
