Receive a Warehouse Receipt

You can receive inventory and post the warehouse receipt.

Choose the warehouse receipt lines

  1. From the Home screen, select Receipt.

  2. Select Warehouse Receipt.

  3. On the Warehouse Receipt screen, if known, populate the following field and select Search.

    Field Description
    PO No. Enter the purchase order number of the warehouse receipt you want to receive.
  4. Select the warehouse receipt you want to receive.

    The lines in the warehouse receipt are listed.

    The Lot Assigned field shows the status of the item tracking for the line:

    • Blank: Item tracking is not required.
    • Empty: Item tracking has not been added.
    • Partial: Item tracking has been added for part of the line.
    • Complete: All of the item tracking has been added for the line.

    You have several options for posting the lines:

Enter tracking information for individual lines

Lines require tracking if the Lot Assigned field has a value of Empty or Partial.

These steps are a continuation of Choose the warehouse receipt lines.

  1. Select the line.

  2. Populate the following fields as required, selecting Next when needed:

    Field Description
    Bin Code

    Select the bin where the items will be placed.

    The default is from the warehouse receipt header in Business Central.
    Qty to Receive Enter the number of items to receive.
    Production Date

    Enter the production date.

    This field is only displayed if the Use Production Date toggle is turned on from the Business Central Mobile Data Collection Setup page.
    Expiration Date Select the expiration date of the items being received.
    Lot No.

    Enter the lot number of the items being received.

    Select Assign Lot No. to automatically assign a lot number from a predefined number series.
    Package No. Enter the package number of the items being received.

    Select Assign Default Package to assign the package number defined in the Default Package No. field on the Inventory Setup page. This button is only visible if the Warehouse License Plating app is installed.

    This field is only displayed if the Enable Packages toggle is turned on from the Business Central Mobile Data Collection Setup page.
  3. Select Update to update the receipt line with the entered data and go to the next line in the receipt.

    -OR-

    Select Post to post the line.

    -OR-

    Select Post & Print to post the line and to print the report defined for the Warehouse Receipt Label ID field on the Mobile Data Collection Setup page.

Post individual lines that do not have item tracking

Use these steps if a line does not require tracking and you do not want to change any of the information such as bin code or quantity.

A line does not require tracking if the Lot Assigned field is blank.

These steps are a continuation of Choose the warehouse receipt lines.

  1. Select Post for the line you want to receive.

Post the whole receipt

You can post all of the lines in a receipt if the following is true:

  • Line does not require item tracking and you do not want to change any of the information such as bin code or quantity. A line does not require tracking if the Lot Assigned field is blank.

  • The Lot Assigned field has a value of Partial or Complete indicating tracking information has been entered.
