Set Up User Profiles

You can set up what MDC will look like for individual users.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Mobile Data Collection User Profiles, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Mobile Data Collection User Profiles page, select New.

  3. On the Mobile Data Collection User Profile page, in the General FastTab, populate the following fields:

    Field Description
    User ID Select the user to whom the settings will apply.
    Work Date Do not enter a value. This field is obsolete. The systems current date will be used as the work date.

  4. In the Media FastTab, populate the following field:

    Field Description
    Font Size Select the screen font size for MDC.

  5. In the Main Menu FastTab, populate the following fields:

    After the app is upgraded, you must turn on the toggles in the Main Menu FactBox on the Mobile Data Collection User Profile page for all existing users otherwise the menu icons will be hidden.

    Field Description
    Bin Content Turn the toggle on to display the Bin Content option on the MDC Home page.
    Inventory Calculation Turn the toggle on to display the Inventory Calculation option on the MDC Home page.
    Reclassification Turn the toggle on to display the Reclassification option on the MDC Home page.
    Ship Turn the toggle on to display the Ship option on the MDC Home page.
    Receipt Turn the toggle on to display the Receipt option on the MDC Home page.
    Production Turn the toggle on to display the Production option on the MDC Home page.
    Transfer Orders Turn the toggle on to display the Transfer Orders option on the MDC Home page.
    Picks Turn the toggle on to display the Picks option on the MDC Home page.
    Packages Turn the toggle on to display the Packages option on the MDC Home page.

  6. In the Item Reclassification FastTab, populate the following fields:

    Field Description
    Default From Location

    Select the default value for the From Location field on the MDC Item Reclass page.

    MDC users can change the default value if needed.
    Hide Reclass Location Turn the toggle on to hide the From Location and To Location fields on the Item Reclass page
    Block To Bin Turn the toggle on to block the editing of the To Bin field on the Item Reclass page.
    Block To Lot No. Turn the toggle on to block the editing of the To Lot No field on the Item Reclass page.
    Block To Package No. Turn the toggle on to block the editing of the To Package No field on the Item Reclass page
