Overview
The Over Shipping app helps manufacturers and distributors manage intentional over-shipments by setting clear tolerance percentages.
Over-shipping can be necessary when dealing with perishable products, limited storage facilities, or packaging constraints that prevent breaking units. In some cases, customers are willing to accept extra quantities, within limits.
This app lets you define over-shipping tolerances by item, customer, or both. You can also set default values for broader control. Integrated with sales orders and warehouse shipments, the app ensures shipments stay within approved limits while preventing over-delivery errors.
Key features
Tolerance by Item, Customer, or Both: Set over-shipping percentages at the item, customer, or item-customer level to reflect real-world packaging and relationship needs.
Default Over-Shipping Tolerance: Use default tolerance values to apply consistent rules across sales and warehouse teams when specific codes aren’t assigned.
Partial Shipment Support: Handle partial shipments confidently while ensuring the total shipped quantity stays within allowed limits.
Prevents Over-Delivery Errors: Automatically blocks shipments that exceed the allowed tolerance, helping reduce costly mistakes and disputes.
Track Over-Shipments: Use the Customer Insights app to measure and monitor how often over-shipping occurs for each customer.
