Create Rebate Posting Groups
You can create rebate posting groups, which define the accounts to use when posting rebate transactions. The posting groups are assigned to the Rebate Card page.
Choose the icon, enter Rebate Posting Groups, and then choose the related link.
On the Rebate Posting Groups page, select New.
Populate the following fields:
Field Description Code Enter a code to represent the rebate category. Description Enter a description of the rebate category. Rebate Account Select the account that will be used when posting rebate amounts. Balancing Accrual Account Select the account that will be used as the balancing account when the rebate is accrued but not posted immediately to the customer.
Leave this field blank to have the rebate amount post immediately to the customer, which removes the rebate amount from the invoice amount in the customer ledger.
