Manage Items on Sales Restrictions

You can add or remove multiple items from specific sales restrictions or from sales restrictions linked to selected customers.

Items where the Not Subject to Sales Restrictions toggle is turned on on the Item Card page will be skipped when adding or removing bulk items.

Update items on sales restrictions

You can add or remove multiple items from one or more sales restrictions.

This process will make changes to all of sales restriction within the filter even if the restriction has an Active status.

This procedure does not allow you to filter by customer. To do that, see Update items on sales restrictions by customer.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Add/Remove Items from Sales Restrictions, and then choose the related link.

    The page can also be opened by selecting Manage > Items on the Sales Restrictions page, or by selecting Actions > Sales Restrictions > Manage Items on the Items or Item Card page.

  2. On the Add/Remove Items from Sales Restrictions page, populate the following fields:

    Select whether items are being added to or removed from the selected sales restrictions.

  3. Under Filter: Item, enter the values that will filter the items you want to add to or remove from the sales restrictions.

    For example, enter a single item number or a range of item numbers (for example, F00001..F000020), or add another filter such as the item tracking code, which will add or remove all of the items associated with the tracking code.

    Note

    If no filters are entered for the item, then all items will be added to or removed from the sales restriction. You will be asked to confirm that you want to add or remove all of the items from the sales restriction.

  4. Under Filter: Sales Restriction Header, enter the values that will filter the sales restrictions to which you want to add or remove items.

    For example, enter a single sales restriction or a range of sales restrictions (for example, SRES0001..SRES0050), or add another filter such as the category, which will add or remove the items associated for sales restrictions with that category.

    Note

    If no filters are entered for the sales restrictions, then the item will be added to or removed from all sales restrictions. You will be asked to confirm that you want to add or remove the item from all the sales restrictions.

    If no filters are entered for the item and sales restriction, then all of the items will be added to or removed from all of the sales restrictions. You will be asked to confirm that you want to add or remove all the items from all the sales restrictions.

  5. Select OK.

    Items will be added to or removed from sales restrictions regardless of their status.

Update items on sales restrictions by customer

You can add or remove multiple items from one or more sales restrictions for a range of customers.

This process will make changes to all of sales restriction within the filter even if the restriction has an Active status.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Add/Remove Items from Customer Sales Restrictions, and then choose the related link.

    The page can also be opened by selecting Actions > Sales Restrictions > Manage Customer Items on the Items or Item Card page, or by selecting Actions > Sales Restrictions > Add or Remove Items on the Customers or Customer Card page.

  2. On the Add/Remove Items from Customer Sales Restrictions page, populate the following fields:

    Select whether items are being added to or removed from the selected sales restrictions.

  3. Under Filter: Item, enter the values that will filter the items you want to add to or remove from the sales restrictions.

    For example, enter a single item number or a range of item numbers (for example, F00001..F000020), or add another filter such as the item tracking code, which will add or remove all of the items associated with the tracking code.

    Note

    If no filters are entered for the item, then all items will be added to or removed from the sales restriction associated with a customer. You will be asked to confirm that you want to add or remove all items from the sales restriction associated with a customer.

  4. Under Filter: Customer, enter the values that will filter the customers with sales restrictions to which you want to add or remove items.

    For example, enter a single customer or a range of customers (for example, CUS0001..CUS0050).

    Note

    If no filters are entered for the customer, then the item will be added to or removed from all sales restrictions associated with a customer. You will be asked to confirm that you want to add or remove the item from all the sales restriction associated with a customer.

    If no filters are entered for the item and customer, then all items will be added to or removed from all of the sales restrictions associated with a customer. You will be asked to confirm that you want to add or remove the all the items from all the sales restrictions.

  5. Select OK.

    Items will be added to or removed from the sales restrictions that are associated with the filtered customers.
