Set Up Label Printing

Set up label printing by choosing where the label can be printed from, what label to print, which printer to use, how many labels to print, and who is allowed to print them.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Label Printing, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Label Printing page, select New.

  3. Populate the following fields:

    Field Description
Label Action Name Select the action, which determines where the label will be printed from.
Label Code Select the label that will be printed.
Label Printer Code Select the printer that will print the label.
    No. of Labels Source

Select how the number of labels will be calculated.

    • From Label Printer Setup: Number of labels to print is from the No. of Labels field on this page.

    • From Label Table Field Value: Number of labels is from the No. of Labels field on the Label Table Fields page (via Label Card page > Fields action). See Add a label for more information.

If the field value is a decimal, the number of labels to print will always round up. For example, if the number is 2.2, then 3 labels will be printed.

    • Prompt User: When printing a label, ask the user how many labels to print.

No. of Labels If From Label Printer Setup was selected for the No. of Labels Source field, enter the number of labels to print.

    • All Users: Any user can print a label.

    • User Task Group: Only users in the selected task group can print the label.

If this value is selected, you need to select a task group in the User ID field.

    Note

If a label action is listed multiple times, then it is possible for multiple labels to print if all of the criteria is met.
