Set Up Variable Capacity Cost

If the Set up variable capacity cost assisted setup was not run, you need to set up how the variable capacity costs will be used.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Variable Capacity Cost Setup, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Variable Capacity Cost Setup page, populate the following fields:

    Field Description
    Cost Incl. Capacity Cost Factor

    Turn the toggle on to apply a capacity cost factor in the direct cost calculation when posting output for a work or machine center.

    If the toggle is off, the cost factor can be entered for record keeping but will not be included in the costs.
    Capacity Cost Factor Caption

    Enter the alternative caption for the fields related to the capacity cost factor.

    The Capacity Cost Factor text in a field label will be replaced by the caption text. For example, if No. of Employees is entered as the caption, the Require Capacity Cost Factor field on the Work Center page will be labeled as Require No. of Employees.

    If you update an existing caption, you will need to log out and back in to apply the change to the field labels.
