Exclude Bins from Strict Package Posting
If the Strict Packing Posting toggle on the Inventory Setup page is enabled, packages cannot be stored in multiple locations or bins. However, there may be scenarios where you want to bypass this restriction for specific bins, such as shipment bins. In these cases, a single package number can be associated with items in multiple bins at the same time, allowing workers to avoid breaking down the package.
Choose the
icon, enter Locations, and then choose the related link.On the Locations page, open the location with the bin to which you want to add the exception.
Select Bins.
On the Bins page, populate the following field:
Field Description Ignore Strict Package Posting Select the check box for the bins that you want to exclude from the Strict Package Posting rule.
