Merge Sub-Lots

After you have created a sub-lot, you may want to merge it back with the parent or to another sub-lot with the same parent lot.

You might do this if you removed restrictions from a sub-lot and want to recombine it back with the parent.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Inventory Restriction Worksheet, then choose the related link.

  2. On the Inventory Restriction Worksheet page, populate the following fields as needed:

    Field Description
    Maintenance Type Select Lot.
Item Filter Select an item number or enter a range to filter the lines in the worksheet.
Variant Filter Select an item variant or enter a range to filter the lines in the worksheet.
Lot No. Filter Select a lot number or enter a range to filter the lines in the worksheet.
Show Restricted Inventory Only Turn the toggle on to only display inventory items that are restricted from general use.
  3. Once you have set the filters, select Calculate Worksheet to load the worksheet lines.

  4. Merge sub-lots.

    1. Select the line for which you want to merge sub-lots.

    2. Select Line > Reclass Sub-Lot.

    3. On the Reclass Sub-Lot page, populate the following fields:

    4. Field Description
Quantity to Sub-Lot Enter the quantity to merge.
Location Select the location of the lot to which you want to merge.
Bin Select the bin of the lot to which you want to merge.
      Sub-Lot Rule Select Merge.
      Lot No.

Select the lot number to which you want to merge.

The lot can be the parent lot or another sub-lot.
Package No. If applicable, select the package number to which you want to merge.
Reason Code Select why you are merging the lot.
      Include Existing Restrictions

Turn the toggle on to merge the restrictions of both lots.

If the lots have different restrictions, you will be asked if you want to continue.
  5. If the "Closing the worksheet will cause all pending changes to be lost. Are you sure you want to continue?" message appears, it's because the Include Existing Restrictions toggle is turned on and the lots have different restrictions. You have two options.

    • Select Yes.

The inventory will be moved to the lot, and the restrictions of the original lot will be applied to the other lot.

You do not have have to select Register for the changes to be applied.

    • Select No.

The inventory is not moved to the other lot, and the line of the other lot will show Pending Changes.

If you select Home > Register, the sub-lot inventory is moved to the other lot but the restrictions are not combined.
