Add Information to Item Recalls

You can add information to an item recall by attaching files, writing notes or including links to external resources.

Information can be added to simulated, released and finished item recalls. Attachments, notes and links remain associated with the item recall as its status changes.

Attach files

  1. Choose the icon, enter Item Recalls, then choose the related link.

    You can choose to open the Simulated, Released or Finished Item Recall page.

  2. On the Item Recalls page, select the recall to which you want to add information.

  3. On the Item Recall page, select Recall > Attachments.

  4. On the Attached Documents page, select New.

  5. Select Attach File(s)….

  6. Drag or select the file you want to attach.

  7. Select Close.

    The file is now attached to the item recall.

  8. View an attached file.

    1. On the Attachments FactBox, select the attachment count value.

    2. On the Attached Documents page, select the file name to download it to your local device.

Add comments

  1. Choose the icon, enter Item Recalls, then choose the related link.

    You can choose to open the Simulated, Released or Finished Item Recall page.

  2. On the Item Recalls page, select the recall to which you want to add information.

  3. On the Item Recall page, select Recall > Comments.

  4. On the Comment Sheet page, select New.

  5. Populate the following fields:

    Field Description
    Date Select the date.
    Comment Enter the comment.
  6. Close the page.

    The comment is now associated with the item recall.

Add notes

  1. Choose the icon, enter Item Recalls, then choose the related link.

    You can choose to open the Simulated, Released or Finished Item Recall page.

  2. On the Item Recalls page, select the recall to which you want to add information.

  3. On the Item Recall page, on the Attachments FactBox, under Notes, select the + symbol.

  4. On the Add a note page, enter the note.

  5. Select OK.

    The note is now associated with the item recall, and is visible from the Attachments FactBox.

You can add a link to an item recall for any URL. This is helpful if you need to link to external resources such as online posts regarding the recall, links to shared resources, etc.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Item Recalls, then choose the related link.

    You can choose to open the Simulated, Released or Finished Item Recall page.

  2. On the Item Recalls page, select the recall to which you want to add information.

  3. On the Item Recall page, on the Links FactBox, select the + symbol.

    Note

    If you do not see the Links FactBox, you need to add it.
      1. Select the Settings icon > Personalize.
      2. Select the highlighted Links FactBox, and select Show.
      3. Select the Done button.

  4. On the Add a link page, populate the following fields:

    Field Description
    Link Address Select the date.
    The link must be a valid URL.
    Description Enter the comment.
  5. Select OK.

    The link is now associated with the item recall, and is visible from the Links FactBox.

Attach images

You can attach the following types of files: .jpg, .jpeg, and .png.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Item Recalls, then choose the related link.

    You can choose to open the Simulated, Released or Finished Item Recall page.

  2. On the Item Recalls page, select the recall to which you want to add images.

  3. On the Item Recall page, on the Details FactBox, select Picture > Import.

  4. Drag or select the file you want to attach.

    The file is now attached to the item recall.

  5. View an attached file.

    1. On the Details FactBox, select the Picture drop-down arrow.

    2. Select Next or Previous to move between the images.
