Overview
When an item requires lot, serial or package tracking, the Item Tracking field indicates whether item tracking information has been populated for the transaction line.
The indicator adheres to the setup defined on the Item Tracking Code page for the item. For example, if lot number are only required for inbound purchases, then the indicator will only show the tracking status on inbound purchase documents and journal lines, and will appear blank for all other transactions.
The following statuses can appear in the Item Tracking field:
Empty: No tracking is defined.
Partial: Tracking is defined but not enough to meet the quantity on the line.
Complete: Tracking is fully defined.
Over: Tracking is defined but exceeds the quantity on the line.
Blank: No tracking is required for the item, or it is a non-item line.
