Print Labels
If label printing is set up with a label action that is Event based, then printing to a SENTINEL label will occur automatically.
If label printing is set up with a label action that is Record based, then then the Print to SENTINEL action must be selected.
Note
The Print to SENTINEL action is displayed for all record-based label actions, even if label printing is not set up for that table action. If the action is selected but not set up, nothing will be printed.
Manually print a label
Open a page for which label printing is set up.
On the page, select the appropriate action path:
Print > Print to SENTINEL
(More options) Reports > Print to SENTINEL
Lines FastTab > Line > Print > Functions > Print to SENTINEL
If a pop-up window opens, select Allow Always.
If Allow Always is selected, you will not see this message again.
Reprint a label
You have the option of reprinting a label.
Choose the
icon, enter Label Log, and then choose the related link.
On the Label Log page, select the label you want to reprint.
Select Actions > Reprint.
Reasons why a label might not print
The label printing was not not set up correctly. Check that the label action, label code and label printer are set up for the label you want to print on the Label Printing Setup page.
The label is not active. Check that the label status is set to Active on the Label Card page.
The filters on the label have excluded certain records. Check to see if filters exist in the Table filter field on the Label Card page.
The system cannot find the
.lab
file. Check that the file name in the File Name field on the Label Card page is correct and it exists in the folder location defined from SENTINEL.
