Resolve Package Conflicts

When the Strict Package Posting toggle is turned off on the Inventory Setup page, a package can exist in Business Central in multiple locations and bins. When you try and turn on the toggle, the system checks for this scenario and will provide you with a notification telling you that you need to resolve these package conflicts.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Package Contents, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Package Contents page, populate the following field:

    Field Description
    Show Conflicts Only Turn the toggle on.
  3. Select Get Package Contents.

    The packages that exist in multiple locations or bins are listed.

    You will need to use the Item Reclassification Journals page to resolve the conflicts.

    Depending on the situation, you can change the existing package number to the default package number, or move the package contents to the same location or bin.
