View package contents
When the Strict Package Posting toggle is turned off on the Inventory Setup page, a package can exist in Business Central in multiple locations and bins. When you try and turn on the toggle, the system checks for this scenario and will provide you with a notification telling you that you need to resolve these package conflicts.
Choose the
icon, enter Package Contents, and then choose the related link.
On the Package Contents page, populate the following fields as required to narrow the list of package contents:
Field Description Package No. Filter Select the package for which to view contents.
If a value was entered in the Package Caption field on the Inventory Setup page, then this field label will reflect that value.Item Filter Select the item for which to view package contents. Variant Filter Select the variant for which to view package contents. Location Filter Select the location for which to view package contents. Zone Filter Select the zone for which to view package contents. Lot Filter Select the lot for which to view package contents. Serial Filter Select the serial number for which to view package contents. Item Filter Select the item for which to view package contents. Show Conflicts Only Turn the toggle on to show packages that exist in multiple locations or bins.

The packages contents are listed based on the entered filters.
View packages that contain specific item
To view all the packages an item is placed in, you can either populate the Item Filter field on the on the Package Contents page, or directly access a unique Package Contents page from the Item Card page.
Choose the
icon, enter Items, and then choose the related link.
On the Items page, open the item record for which you want to view the packages.
On the Item Card page, select Related > Warehouse > Package Contents.
The packages that contain the item are listed.
