Create Staging Kits by Batch

If the Production Batching app is installed and set up, you can stage components by batch.

When using material staging, complete these steps to use staging with batching.

Prerequisites

• Material Staging is set up to use batches.

Create a production order

1. Create a production order that uses batches for the manufactured item that was set up to use batching.

2. When setting up the production order to be used for staging, ensure the following:

   • On the Production Order page, in the Lines FastTab, the Kit Group Code field has a code that has a Batch production group.

   • On the Prod. Order Components page, the Kit Group Code field has a code that has a Batch production group for the components that you want to stage by batch.

Create the staging order and kits

When creating a staging order, the Prod. Order Batch No. field is populated when you get the source components for the production order with batches.

When kits are suggested, the components with a Batch production group are grouped by batch.
