  4. Populate the following fields:

    Field Description
Package Nos. Select the number series used to assign numbers to item tracking packages.
Use Default Package No. Series. Turn the toggle on to create and assign the number series that will be used to number item tracking packages.

    Default Package No.

Enter the package number that will be used to identify packages that do not adhere to the strict package posting rule.

When a process doesn’t require a specific package number or when splitting a package, the default package number is used. This allows package-tracked items stored as loose to be placed in multiple locations or bins simultaneously.
    Package Caption

Enter the alternative caption for the fields related to this dimension.

The Package text in a field label will be replaced by the caption text. For example, if Pallet is entered as the caption, the Package No. field on the Item Tracking Lines page will be labeled as Pallet No..
Package Label Select the report id for the package label to print when using the Package Label action on the Package No. Information list and card.
  5. Select Next.

  6. Populate the following field:

    Field Description
    Strict Package Posting

Turn the toggle on to prevent packages from existing in multiple locations or bins at the same time.

When strict package posting is turned on, a package can only exist in a single location. When a location requires bins, a package can only exist in a single bin.
  7. Select Next.

  8. Select Finish.
