Set Up Inventory Restrictions
Choose the
icon, enter Inventory Restriction Setup, and then choose the related link.

You can also access this page from the Manual Setup page.
Populate the following fields:
Field Description Sub-Lot Separator Enter a string up to 20 characters as a separator. If you leave this field blank, the sub-lot number will not contain a separator. Sub-Lot Counter Format Select the format that you want to be added at the end of the sub-lot number. Default Sub-Lot Rule Select Merge or New Sub-Lot as a default value for when you perform a sub-lot transaction. Expiration Warning Enter the date calculation to alert users that inventory is about to expire.
The value must be a positive date. For example, enter 15D to be alerted when inventory is going to expire within the next 15 days.

Assisted Setup
Alternatively, you can complete the setup via a wizard:
Choose the
icon, enter Assisted Setup, and then choose the related link.
In the Get started with apps from NIC Systems Inc group, select Set up inventory restrictions to open the Inventory Restrictions Setup Wizard.
If you are asked if you want to run the assisted setup again, select Yes.
Select Next as needed and populate the following fields as you go through the wizard:

Upon completing the wizard, the Inventory Restrictions Setup page will be updated with the values you selected in the wizard.
